Spring is finally here – at least in Tennessee! I was excited to see some spring pieces in this Fix. If you saw my post about my last Fix, you know that I asked my husband to request my items. He did super, and my stylist, Sara, knocked it out of the park! Because he did such a great job, I had him write my pre-Fix note again this time. Again, both he and Sara did great, but I think I will take over the note-writing in the future. I’m starting to miss it!
If you don’t already know, Stitch Fix is a personalized shopping experience where a stylist hand-selects 5 items to send to your doorstep (and they now have SHOES!). These items are selected based on the style profile you provide, which goes over your sizes, preferences, style, and requests. You also have a 500 character pre-Fix note that you can write to specify types of clothes you’re looking for, or to let your stylist know about upcoming events. You’re charged a $20 styling fee that is applied to your final purchase. Once you receive your Fix, you have 3 days to try everything on in the comfort of your home! You choose what to keep and send the rest back in a pre-labeled shipping bag provided by Stitch Fix. For a more detailed breakdown, check out this post. If you’re already using (or are interested in) Trunk Club, check out this post comparing the two services.
For this Fix, my husband David requested more pieces to get me out of my “comfort zone,” tank tops, and shorts. Even though I didn’t get any shoes this Fix, Sara did a great job with David’s requests!
Market & Spruce Zacharias Layered Top ($54)
Pulling this top out of the box, I immediately realized that something was wrong with it. Unfortunately, one of the straps was sewed incorrectly, making it twisted when you put it on (as shown in the third picture). I notified customer service, and they graciously offered to look for a replacement if I decided to keep the top. While the color is great and I love the airiness and comfort of the top, I decided it wasn’t a must-have. Verdict: RETURN
Brixon Ivy Jarred Lace Detail Cap-Sleeve Blouse ($68)
I’ve seen other women receive this top, and I can testify that it is absolutely gorgeous. The deep color is beautiful, and the lace detail is exquisite. It’s definitely an extremely delicate top. That being said, I’m torn because I’m not sure if I’d have enough opportunities to get to wear it. I did find that it is very versatile, however! Verdict: UNDECIDED
Pixley Eve Floral Skirt ($64)
The vivid colors on this skirt are great, but I’m not sure about wearing such an intense floral. I’m also not reaching for my pencil skirts as much as I would like, so I’m hesitant to add another one to the mix. This is a beautiful (and super comfy!) piece, but just not for me. Verdict: RETURN
Collective Concepts Levett Crossover Blouse ($54)
I love this top! It’s a silky material, and the cut is very flattering. I do already own a lot of black pieces, but you can’t have too much black, right? Its versatility makes it even more of a keeper! Verdict: KEEP
Level 99 Cindie Linen Printed Short ($78)
The one thing holding me back from these shorts is the price tag. I’ve been using prints as neutrals more and more lately (like my leopard flats from Target), so the print doesn’t really scare me. Like everything else Stitch Fix provides, the fabric is so comfy. I love the length, because at 5’9 I hate worrying if my shorts are too short. The only thing that makes me hesitant is the price! Verdict: UNDECIDED
