It’s been awhile since my last Bright Cellars post. Conveniently, Bright Cellars allows you to set your subscription as you want – every couple of weeks, every month, every other month, etc. For me, I chose every 3 months so that it was a little more spaced out.
While you get 4 bottles in your Bright Cellars shipment, you can also purchase additional bottles. A Bright Cellars wine concierge was nice enough to send me an email update that the Nebel Riesling, which I received in my last box, had gone on sale! He had seen that I gave positive feedback on the Riesling and had checked the “would buy” box. I was excited to get another bottle in this shipment!

Here’s what I got for my quarterly shipment:
“New 2014 vintage of one of our top rated wines. A crisp, refreshing German Riesling with a splash of exotic tropical fruit flavor. Enjoy the aroma of ripe fruit, flowers, and honey bursting from the bottle. Pair with shellfish or asian dishes like pad thai or stir fry.”
Madison Ridge Chardonnay
South Eastern Australia
“This Australian Chardonnay has ripe pear, apple, peach and nectarine notes on the nose. Aging in French oak gives this wine a creamy, smooth mouth feel. Pair this delicious wine with roasted chicken in sage-butter or seafood risotto. Camembert cheese also pairs nicely with this wine!”
Torre del Reloj Blanco
“This light and fresh white blend is made from two popular Spanish grapes: Airen and Macabeo. A delightful acidity dances across your tongue as notes of pear, tangerine, lemon, apple and white flowers develop on your palate. This wine would be excellent with traditional Spanish dishes like seafood paella or grilled fish like cod with lemon, garlic and olive oil. For something lighter, try this wine with light appetizers and goat cheeses.”
“Adrift Riesling is a light, aromatic white wine with a mouthwatering acidity to balance the sweetness. Fruit flavors of pear, peach, apricot and tart green apple lead to sweet white flowers and honey in the finish. This wine is an excellent match for spicy foods – enjoy with spicy Indian curry, Pad Thai or Szechuan shrimp! Riesling pairs nicely with dessert too! Try it with a medley of berries and Mascarpone cheese on a thinly sliced baguette.”
Cameron Corner Chardonnay
South Eastern Australia
“This Chardonnay from South Eastern Australia is lush, juicy and full of ripe fruits like honeydew, yellow apple, pear and pineapple. This full-bodied Chardonnay has some oak presence and a silky, creamy finish. Pair this wine with roasted chicken or seafood with a butter sauce or pasta and roasted vegetables. If pairing with cheese, try this wine with soft, creamy cheeses like Brie and Camembert.”
