I took a month off from Stitch Fix, and it was a long month! I thought that I could do it, but postponing my Fix ultimately led me to purchasing more LuLaRoe and other clothes. Oops!
Before You Read Anything Else…
Summer is coming, and what better way to celebrate than with Stitch Fix? I have partnered up with Maria from Crazy Together along with some other fabulous Stitch Fix bloggers to deliver a $700 Stitch Fix gift card giveaway for you guys!! Incredible! So, be sure to stick around to the end 🙂
For this Fix, I actually completely forgot to write a note for my stylist, or to request Sara (who has been awesome with my last 4 or 5 fixes). Even so, Sara came through for me with some great summer pieces and a sweet note as usual.
I was excited to finally receive SHOES! The duster bag that they arrived in made the shoes even more special.
**After the giveaway at the end, I’ll add the style cards for the items I’ve received from this Fix for your Pinterest use**
Kapitol Carlin Fringe Detail Cotton Top ($54) and Kut from the Kloth Lonnie Distressed Cuffed Denim Boyfriend Short ($68)
I loved the distressed look of the shorts and I’m all for longer shorts, but I’m not a fan of the bermuda short style. They were super tight around my thighs and not very flattering. The shirt was very cool because of the thin fabric, but the back had a split back that opened up almost to the neckline. I don’t have the right kind of top to wear under this, so this was also a no. Verdict: RETURNED BOTH
Adrianna Papell Tabatha Eyelet Dress ($138) & Nine West Edith Pointed Toe Wedge ($79)
The details on the dress were very pretty, but it was hard to get past how easily the fabric wrinkled! I usually don’t purchase anything that needs a lot of extra attention or ironing, and I couldn’t justify the price for this piece. The shoes were cute but felt more pointed toe-ish than they appeared in pictures. I did appreciate the small heel, though! Verdict: RETURNED BOTH
19 Cooper Maycon Halter Top ($54) & Kut from the Kloth Lonnie Distressed Cuffed Denim Boyfriend Short
This was my favorite top from this Fix! I loved the colors, the halter shape, and the surprise element of the fringe along the bottom. Unfortunately, it was a bit too snug on me under the arms and in length in general. I was hesitant to reach out to Stitch Fix’s customer service for a bigger size, however, because I thought that might be too loose. Ultimately I decided to send it back. Verdict: RETURNED
So yes, this Fix didn’t bring any keepers for me this time. I still appreciated Sara’s effort in her styling, and the process itself! I’m not quitting Stitch Fix just yet by any means. There have been plenty of times when I walk into a store, taking 20 items into the fitting room with me, and leave the store an hour later without purchasing anything. There will be hits and misses, but the process itself allows me to try on new clothes that I might not have picked up by myself.
