My last Trunk ended up going back, but I was excited to see my preview for Trunk #4. I had given Casey a lot of feedback on why the swimsuits and rompers didn’t work for me, and let her know that I would probably stick to shopping for those items in person. We decided to try another “summer” Trunk.
If you’re new here, Trunk Club is a personalized shopping experience where your stylist literally sends you a Trunk full of goodies. There’s no fee to sign up, and you just keep what you love! When I first started with Trunk Club, I was cheating on Stitch Fix, a smaller subscription service that sends you 5 items.
My New Stylist
Before I show you the Trunk that Casey sent, I need to let you know that she is no longer working at Trunk Club. I was a little sad at first, but then I realized that I’d have the opportunity to get a new stylist. And it turns out, my sister Callie is interning with Trunk Club this summer!
Callie is passionate about retail and all things fashion, and she’s the one I hurriedly text for an “okay” on my outfit as I leave the house. She is thriving at Trunk Club, and she will not disappoint if you get her the chance! You can use this link here to have Callie as your stylist.
Trunk Review #4
I had a hard time deciding what to keep from this Trunk, because I “liked” a lot of it. I am still sticking to Marie Kondo’s philosophy of only holding on to what sparks joy, though, so ultimately I only kept the things I loved. I was able to keep several things thanks to credit from you guys!
**TIP: Be sure to share your referral link with your friends and family as soon as you sign up! When they get a Trunk and make a purchase of at least $50, you will earn $50 towards a future Trunk! It’s a win win 🙂
I loved the pattern and colors of this skirt, but unfortunately it was super small on me! Verdict: Returned
I am really loving maxi dresses right now. This one had potential, but I wasn’t crazy about the color scheme. Clicking the picture or title of the item will take you to the dress on Nordstrom’s website. The olive/coral color scheme is my favorite! Verdict: Returned
I absolutely LOVE this dress! Not only is it buttery soft, but it’s super long on my 5’9 self. In these pictures, I’m actually wearing 3 inch heels, and it’s still touching the ground! I ended up wearing this dress like 4 times in one week after getting my Trunk. Verdict: KEPT
These were super cute, but they ended up being like 2 sizes too small. Does anyone else find Sam Edelman to run small? Verdict: Returned
This top was SO soft, and I loved the color. It just had too much going on; a front tie, a halter strap, and a back tie. Verdict: Returned
Like the Sam Edelman sandals, these ended up being way too small 🙁 I love this style, though! Verdict: Returned
Casey did such a great job picking out gladiator / strappy sandals like I had requested, but these were too small as well! The fourth and final pair did fit, though.. see below 🙂 Verdict: Returned
This silky top had such a pretty pattern, but it didn’t quite fit right on me. Verdict: Returned
Charles Henry Eyelet Cotton Shift Dress ($88)
This dress was a great color, weight, and perfect for summer. It fit my taste, so much so that I already have a super similar dress from JCrew! Verdict: Returned
I loved the color of these shorts, but they fit a little too small. Verdict: Returned
Free People is such a hit or miss with me. Some things are love at first sight, and other things are a wholehearted “no.” Then there’s the third category – things I would like, but would never pay that much for. This was a cute top, but it doesn’t do $88 worth of cute for me. Verdict: Returned
Free People ‘Long Beach’ Tank ($20), Madewell Cotton Denim Shorts ($69.50), and Dolce Vita ‘Jasmyn’ Ghillie Sandal ($89.95)
Top: I love the cut, color, and price tag on this top! Verdict: KEPT Shorts: I was really surprised that I liked the fit of these shorts, because they’re high-waisted. It was really refreshing to try on a pair of non-cuffed shorts, though. Verdict: KEPT Sandals: These were everything that I had been looking for, and thankfully they fit! Verdict: KEPT
This was a super confusing top. It looks a little more normal in the stock picture, but it took me awhile to figure out how to put it on. It just wasn’t really my style. Verdict: Returned
Free People ‘Blackbird’ Embroidered Babydoll Top ($78), Madewell Cotton Denim Shorts ($69.50), and Dolce Vita ‘Jasmyn’ Ghillie Sandal ($89.95)
Top: I was on the fence with this top, so I ultimately didn’t keep it. I did love the color and embroidery detail, though. Verdict: Returned
