Welcome! I’m Sarah.
Safari with Sarah is the product of my loves for giraffes, writing, helping other people, and my newly discovered love for fashion. This little piece of the Internet serves to inspire you to play with fashion, elicit your true potential and motivate you to be the best version of yourself.
Think of me as your personal “safari” guide through fashion. No, I’m not talking about clothing inspired from the country of Africa. Safari is just the best analogy for me since it allows giraffes to be a big part of this space 🙂
My goal here is to inspire confidence and to empower you by helping you discover your beauty.
On this blog, you can peruse subscription services like Stitch Fix, Trunk Club and Bright Cellars. You’ll also have the chance to learn about my excitement for LuLaRoe. You might also see some adorable pictures of my 4 fur-babies or sweet husband, David 🙂
Let’s be real. I don’t go to fancy places very often, and my workplace consists of polo-and-jeans-clad men. After years of hating the mall and any kind of shopping whatsoever, I have discovered that I actually do enjoy clothes.
Fashion can be fun!
I think my growing love for figuring out my style came about only because I stopped worrying about how people perceive me. I mean… had you told me a year ago that I would be posting dozens of photos of myself each week for all the interwebs to see, I would have called you crazy. I’m quiet. I’m an introverted, behind the scenes type person who doesn’t care for a lot of attention.
So why do I do it?
For the longest time, I lacked confidence. I had body images, I was self-conscious, and I was unhappy with myself. Yes, I still get in moods and have bad days. Yes, I still have times when I stand at my closet for 30 minutes trying to decide what to wear. But I’ve found confidence inside of me that I honestly didn’t think I was capable of having.
I want every woman to discover that confidence within herself. I want you to find your confidence. I want you to understand that you’re beautiful – and to really believe it. You were created in God’s image.
“You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.” -Song of Solomon 4:7
